The future of ICET 

Program Purpose 

The ICET Emerging Leaders in Teacher Education Program provides oppourtunities for developing the leadership skills of ICET members aspiring to become ICET Board members. 

2014- 2016 Pilot Particpants 

  • Monica Haydee Ramos (Global Citizenship, Network of Mexican Talents Abroad (Red de Talentos Mexicanos en el Exterior) and  WLS Ambassador

  • Elham Torabian ( ESD, UNESCO Paris)

  • Kathy-ann Daniel-Gittens ( Professional Learning, Organization of the American States) 

  • Sarah Younie (Open Educational Resources, Higher Education Academy UK/JISC)

2016-18 Program 

Deadlines

Applicants for the 2016 program will open January 1 2015 and close May 1 2015 

Submission Requirements

  • Applicants for the 2016 are asked to submit a two page CV that includes examples of efforts and selected publications related to improving educational experiences and outcomes in their part of the world 

  • Two letters of support discussing the leadership potential of applicant

  • A one page proposal of a collaborative project designed to reinforce ICET's efforts to improving educational experiences and outcomes in all parts of the world  

Successful Applicants

  • Have a serious intention and desire to serve as an ICET Board Member 

  • Are currently serving in an educational environment where there are significant opportunities for them to lead an ICET related intiative focused on improving educational experiences and outcomes in their part of the world 

  • Are nominated by a peer as someone with high leadership potential

  • Have a track record of improving educational experiences and outcomes in their part of the world
