There are three Standing Committees: The World Assembly Committee; The Nominating Committee and the Teacher Education Research and Dissemination Committee. Adhoc Committees may be established, as needed to address particular priorities and/or examine specific issues identified by the Board, and to recommend action.

Charge 
 long-range planning of the Council’s programs to insure that the goals and policies formulated by the Board are implemented on a worldwide basis.

making recommendations regarding future sites and dates for the Assembly, monitoring preparations  and determining the thematic focus of the conference

developing the slate of board member candidates for elections each year, including new members as well as nominees for re-election.

  2. Evaluating and selecting the ICET Research Award winner
